Australian Grand Prix was first held in Adelaine (1985-1995) and then moved to the capital of Victoria state.
The track was built by modifying the beautiful Albert Park near the city center. Tribunes are mobile, but over the weekend they sat down to 360,000 spectators. The first victory won here D.Hill (1996), but most often triumphed M. Schumacher (4x).
In 2001, there was a tragic accident when picked after round duel R. J. Villeneuve and Schumacher hit the marshal.
